New Perspectives on Central and Eastern European Studies

Herder InstitutPublished in Association with the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe, Marburg, Germany

Series Editors:
Peter Haslinger, Director,
Heidi Hein-Kircher, Head of the Department Academic Forum

Decades after the political changes of 1989, Eastern Europe is one of the lesser known regions of the world. Investigating its history, with a special focus on the Baltic States, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, New Perspectives on Central and Eastern European Studies addresses specific topics and questions arising from the region´s history, shaped by multi-ethnicity, legacies of European Empires and national conflicts, thus providing a better understanding of many of Eastern Europe’s current problems.
